The Ambassador Hosts programme is a series of high level briefing events that are moderated by the British Ambassador to Belgium, organised by the British Chamber in partnership with key patron members of the chamber.

The aim is to provide insight and access to businesses on key challenges and opportunities in the Belgium market that directly highlights, impacts and enhances the competitive position of Belgium as an effective market for business to thrive.

High level speakers are drawn from Belgian national and regional ministers, providing direct access for members of the chamber to influential officials in key areas of trade and economic policy.

Previous speakers have included:

  • Federal Minister of Finance Johan Van Overtfeldt
  • Federal Deputy Prime Minister Kris Peeters
  • Minister-President of the Brussels Region, Rudi Vervoort
  • Federal Minister of Budget, Sophie Wilm├Ęs
  • Deputy Prime Minister, Didier Reynders
  • Minister for Social Affairs and Public Health, Maggie De Block

The programme benefits from the support of the British Ambassador to Belgium who hosts the events and key patron members who are sponsors.

The current programme sponsor is Novartis.

Each briefing event will be followed up with a short report of key points from the meeting (unattributed to individuals) to help the chamber to build a content base that can be shared with all stakeholders and drive the chamber’s Thought Leadership programme for the benefit of all members.
